While it recommends adding glitter, the fine particles clouded the water completely once added. The only sealing material is clay, which isn’t a long-term solution—it only temporarily kept the water in. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t purchase this again and wish I could return it.

My kids had a blast creating their snow globes with the clay, but that’s where the fun ended. The glitter adheres too well to the clay, so when we added water and shook them, it didn’t move at all. Instead, the glitter just stuck to the sides, failing to create the snow effect we were hoping for. We had such high expectations! While they enjoyed the crafting process, the final product turned out poorly.
My daughter made an adorable manger scene, and the instructions suggested covering it with glitter, which I assumed would float around when we added the water. Unfortunately, it just settled, leaving baby Jesus completely covered in glitter.
Honestly, I wish I had gone with the DIY snow globes from the dollar store—I would have been much happier with the snow they offer. The snow included in this kit is too heavy and sinks straight to the bottom, not moving at all when shaken.
The only way I can see this being a fun project is if you skip the glitter and the snow altogether, but unfortunately, we can’t do that since everything is glued down now. Additionally, I wasn’t comfortable using the glue they provided, so I opted for a stronger 6000 glue instead.
I’ve attached a picture of the instructions to show that I followed them precisely, expecting a successful outcome, but sadly, that was not the case.
